HYPERLIPOPROTEINEMIA :: Hyperlipoproteinemia is the condition in which there is increase in the concentration of cholesterol and /or triglyceride carrying lipoproteins in plasma Hyperlipidaemia is the condition indicating increase in lipid levels Both these conditions may cause narrowing and hardening of the arteries i.e. atherosclerosis Thus hyperlipoproteinemias is one of the leading causes of ischemic heart disease https://lnkd.in/dpnWqHwg

[Roche COBAS 8000 Biochemical Immune Modular Analysis System] Today I would like to share a core testing device for kidney disease. It can carry out the following testing items. 1. Neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipid carrier protein It can detect renal function damage earlier and better reflect glomerular filtration rate. 2. Urine enzyme test It is detection indicators for active renal tubular injury. 3. Parathyroid hormone 1-84 It can better detect mineral and bone abnormalities in chronic kidney disease. 4. Procalcitonin It can quickly and accurately reflect the severity of bacterial infections.

Hemoglobin (Hb) is a protein in red blood cells that carries oxygen from the lungs to the body's tissues and returns carbon dioxide from the tissues to the lungs. It's a vital component of red blood cells, making up about 33% of their total content. Hemoglobin consists of four subunits: two alpha-globin and two beta-globin chains, which form a tetramer. Each subunit contains a heme group with iron, which binds to oxygen. Hemoglobin's functions include: - Oxygen transport - Carbon dioxide transport - Regulation of blood pH - Buffering excess hydrogen ions Normal hemoglobin levels are: - Adult males: 13.5-17.5 g/dL - Adult females: 12-16 g/dL Abnormal hemoglobin levels can indicate various medical conditions, such as anemia, polycythemia, or hemoglobinopathies like sickle cell disease.

💊Differences between Heparin and LMWHs ✔️Average Molecular Weight Heparin is about 15 kDa, whereas LMWH is about 4.5 kDa. ✔️Dosing Less frequent subcutaneous dosing with LMWHs than for heparin for postoperative prophylaxis of venous thromboembolism. ✔️APTT Monitoring There is no need to monitor APTT coagulation with LMWHs, as with high-dose heparin. ✔️Osteoporosis Risk Smaller risk of osteoporosis with LMWHs than heparin in long-term use. ✔️Thrombocytopenia Risk Smaller risk of heparin-induced thrombocytopenia with LMWHs. ✔️Antidote Heparin's effects can be reversed using the antidote protamine sulfate, though the latter's effect with LMWHs is limited. ✔️Mechanism of Action LMWH has less of an effect on thrombin than heparin, but roughly the same effect on factor Xa. ✔️Kidney Disease Due to its renal clearance, LMWH is contraindicated in patients with kidney disease who can safely use unfractionated heparin.

Hyperlipidemia/high cholesterol, refers to elevated levels of fats in the blood. Hyperlipidemia increases the risk of developing Heart disease /Heart attack/Stroke/Coronary heart disease/Carotid artery disease /Sudden cardiac arrest/ Peripheral artery disease/Microvascular disease. A blood test to check cholesterol levels—called a lipid panel or lipid profile —typically reports:Total cholesterol/ LDL cholesterol/ HDL cholesterol/ Triglycerides. Lumigenex Lipid panel test strips suitable for LP-100 Dry chemistry analyzer,is excellent tool for monitoring Hyperlipidemia. Easy to use, quick to get results.

Cortisol is an essential hormone that has a wide array of bodily functions; ranging from lowering inflammation, regulating blood sugar and metabolism, to maintaining blood pressure. Testing Cortisol levels is an evaluation of adrenal function where high and low levels may indicate the presence of certain diseases such as Addison's Disease, Cushing's Syndrome, or the presence of a tumor. 🙀 Cortisol can be tested by itself or along with other VDI panels - and it's available on the Dry Serum Test Kit! 😺 Find out more at: 👉 https://lnkd.in/gh9gMkbY Test codes: 917, 918, and 919 #VDILab #Veterinaryscience #VetLab #Caninewellness #FelineWellness #Cortisol #VetMed
