Found out how you to can get involved and help us on our mission to prepare and inspire young people for the fast-changing world of work and to help every young person find their next best step
Fostering diverse culture through Coaching | Leadership development | Employee engagement | Growth enablement
In October I had the great pleasure to host a meeting with fellow Employer Advisors under the Berkshire Local Enterprise Partnership. This organisation supports local secondary schools by finding relevant volunteers from the business world who work with the schools to help them develop their career advice. This ensures a closer connection from school and business and is a much needed alignment. Our Graduates Tom Davidson and Juliet Stephenson joined the session too and it told their story of transitioning from school to uni to business. There were tons of questions posed to both and they did a fantastic job explaining the challenges they faced that we can learn from. Thank you Kate Evans and Allison Giles for all you do to empower the young minds and future talent to get the best opportunities they can.

🌟 Celebrating Achievements and Building Community: A Reflection on Our Early Careers Event 🌟 “Be responsible for your own development. Set your mindset for success. Celebrate your victories and recognize the achievements of others.” – Ania Podbereska, my esteemed L&TD colleague. This powerful quote from her closing remarks encapsulates the spirit of our remarkable early careers community at AtkinsRéalis. 🚀 🎉 A Gathering of Bright Minds Last week, over 200 graduates and apprentices united to celebrate their accomplishments. The energy was incredible as we came together in person, bridging the virtual gaps that often separate us. 🌐 🌱 Nurturing Talent All Year Round in Learning & Talent Development (L&TD), our mission is clear: to attract and nurture the best talent. We believe that investing in people pays dividends not only for our business but also for the individuals who make up our vibrant community. 🌟 🌞 Why This Event Was Extraordinary What made this gathering truly special? It was the chance to connect with the very people we tirelessly recruit and support. We witnessed their growth, and celebrated their milestones. 🎊 🌠 A Proud Moment As the sun set on our event, I felt immense pride. Our early careers community isn’t just about professional growth; it’s about fostering relationships, igniting passions, and creating a legacy. 🌅 🙏 Gratitude I am grateful to be part of this journey—a journey that joins individual aspirations with collective success. 🌿 Let’s continue to learn, thrive, and lift each other higher. 🌟 What’s your favourite part of the day? Personal Branding Strategist and Ghostwriter| Helping B2B Founders and CXOs generate leads through LinkedIn| Favikon Top 50 Creator in India
I left my first 9-5 job after a few days of joining. It didn’t work out for me but I don’t regret that. Why? Because - -> It taught me how to deal with people -> It gave me the understanding of workplace culture -> It gave me wisdom to understand how organisations work Most importantly, I learnt a lot about my personality and how I tackle things at my own level. Sometimes things work out well and sometimes they don’t. However, instead of focusing on what went wrong and being upset about it we should focus on what we gained from it. The negative experiences I had at that job will help me create a positive work culture for our interns at CwC and I think that’s a huge win for me. If you fail at anything in the future, step back, take some time to reflect and understand what you gained from the experience. Turn your failures into lessons. It goes a long way. P.S. How do you deal with failure?

💡Inclusive Employment This past summer, two of the recent graduates from the LOPES Academy were hired at the LOPE Shop. As employees, they attended an all-staff training. I had the opportunity to present to the staff about supports in the workplace including, accommodations, soft skills training, and job coaching. Employment isn’t only about how to obtain a job, it’s how to provide individualized supports, leading to greater success of maintaining the job! #workforcedevelopment #jobcoaching #inclusiveemployment
