Also from another construction site we report "done"! Already in October we completed and in the last few days officially handed over the project "Construction modifications of the existing hall" for #MinebeaAccessSolutions in Košice. During the continuous production we realized a monolithic pit the size of an Olympic swimming pool. However, we went deeper 😉- the length of the pit is 50 meters and the clear depth is 4.5 meters. In addition to this, we created a fire wall separating the existing production from the new technology areas, structurally modified the existing wiring and also painted the existing support structure with fire-resistant paint for safety. For the first time in Singapore, S690 structural steel, almost twice as strong as traditional steel, has been successfully incorporated into construction. Kudos to Professor Chiew Sing Ping and Assistant Professor Zhao Ming Shan from the SIT Construction Technology Innovation Laboratory (CTIL) for this remarkable innovation. Their HISTEEL innovation transforms flat S690 steel plates into ready-to-use structural shapes. With up to 40% less material usage than conventional steel, HISTEEL is stronger, lighter, and more sustainable.  This  innovation, in collaboration with industry partners Woh Hup (Private) Limited and TTJ Holdings Ltd, will lead to safer, more efficient, and space-optimised urban projects.
