Reflecting on a very intense week at #WEF25, I did not want to miss the opportunity to share my key takeaways from the many conversations, meetings, and interviews I had in Davos. Here are my top 3: 1️⃣ The world has entered a phase of ‘geopolitical recession,’ in which countries are renegotiating and rebalancing their relationships, with the US firmly positioned as the dominant player. 2️⃣ Europe is facing a very serious competitive weakness in nearly every dimension. While the levers are obvious and widely acknowledged, it has become very clear that it’s really time to act now. 3️⃣ Although Europe will certainly suffer from the new global setup in the short term, I am convinced it will ultimately benefit in the mid-term.
