Last Friday, E.ON One and lemonbeat (one of E.ON One’s scale-ups) visited ABB in Ratingen to explore the possibilities of #digitalisation of local network stations. Our Smart Monitoring Operator (#SMO) is currently being tested in an ABB's secondary substation. Once the data collection phase starts, SMO will gather and analyse data points from the substation, including system status details, operating parameters and environmental conditions, which will be used to optimise grid operations. The integration of digital solutions is essential to make secondary substations smarter and more flexible for a successful digitalisation and expansion of the grid infrastructure.
