#MotivationalMonday “How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.” This timeless saying reminds us that even the most colossal tasks become manageable when broken down into smaller pieces. 📑 Words matter #focus To master anything, we must focus. Being a jack of all trades might sound appealing, but it often leads to mediocrity. Instead, channel your energy into deliberate practice. The most productive life isn’t the busiest one. It’s the one where we allocate time intentionally. Plus, our willpower - like any finite resource - needs deliberate care. Let time-blocking be your secret weapon for productivity. Find your focus! 🔢 Numbers count #one Remember, while we can move quickly between tasks, true multitasking hinders our ability to absorb information effectively. Prioritise focus over fragmentation! Create a distraction-free space, dedicate time to #one thing at a time, and watch your accomplishments grow—one bite at a time! As Mark Twain wrote, “The secret of getting ahead is getting started. The secret of getting started is breaking your complex, overwhelming tasks into small, manageable tasks, and then starting on the first one.” Remember, every journey begins with that single step—the bite that leads to progress! #onebigthing #focusoverfragmentation
👉🏽 First step usually feels the toughest .. and then it becomes easier .. 👌🏽 Good Monday motivation ✔️ Jo-Ann Pöhl
No. Real masters know: Small bites. Fast chewing. Saying are dumb. Thinking is fun.
I think another secret is to start a lot. Most starts will fail. Get over it by getting used to starting and used to failing.
Well said Jo-Ann Pöhl - viewed in this way, we can easily overcome procrastination and navigate through complexity.
Love this post and it's good advice!
Great advice, thanks so much, Jo !
Jo-Ann Pöhl such simplicity in concept and often so hard for people to do. The ‘overwhelm,’ often has a tough emotional aspect to be dealt with and processed … Thank you for sharing 😇

10moGreat reminder! One has to dig deep though on why they just can’t take that 1st step. It’s mental. It’s got nothing to do with lack of time or difficulty of the task. It’s normally a mental block and once we can individually break through that, Step 1 will happen and the rest will be fairly smooth sailing. Jo-Ann Pöhl
