I was so busy reflecting on World Mental Health Day yesterday, that I forgot to post about it, so here is the belated post combined with today's on Yom Kippur. ✨
Thursday 10th October was World Mental Health Day. 📅
World Mental Health Day has been observed since 10th October 1992. Initially held by the World Federation for Mental Health (WFMH), it's now officially commemorated annually and this year's theme is 'It is time to prioritize mental health in the workplace'. 🗣
Friday 11th October [2024] is Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement) which is the Jewish day of repentance, probably the holiest and most solemn day of the year. In Israel, it is an annual holiday. There's no public transport, no form of media communication, and all businesses and shops are closed. ⛪
It takes place on the tenth day* of Tishrei, the seventh month. In the Western Calendar, this means it will occur between 14th September and 14th October. 📅
