EASA's emphasis on Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems (EWIS) stems from multiple aviation incidents that exposed the dangers of electrical malfunctions causing in-flight smoke and fire. These events emphasized the necessity for stringent maintenance protocols and enhanced training to prevent similar occurrences in the future. ⚡ Interested to learn more about this topic? Read the following article which considers the regulations driving EWIS compliance within the European EASA jurisdiction: https://lnkd.in/dEyaPqEH #electricalsystems #aircraft #SOLBlogs

Today, I’d like to share some insights and questions related to critical aspects of B787 aircraft maintenance and flight control. These questions are designed to spark discussion and deepen our collective understanding of aircraft dispatchability and efficiency. Here are some key topics I’ve been focusing on recently on B787: 1- FCM(L), FCM(C), and FCM(R) - Is it possible to abort the system test once started? What are the reasons for performing all system tests? 2- FCM(L), FCM(C), and FCM(R) - What happens in normal conditions if one FCM is defective? 3- In the event of a total failure of the fly-by-wire system in the aircraft, how many electrical spoilers can be commanded by the crew, and how? 4- After performing a transit check and finding an existing fault in Chapter 27 Primary Flight Control System, which page do you check? How many spoilers can you defer? 5- How do you deactivate electrical spoilers in both shear-out and no shear-out conditions? How do you differentiate between shear-out conditions? 6- How do you deactivate hydraulic spoilers? Which spoiler is more difficult to deactivate and why? How do you position no shear-out spoilers and shear-out spoilers for deactivation? Do you need a CB (FCE cabinet) to deactivate a hydraulic spoiler? 7- If #7 spoiler PCU is defective and already deferred, and #13 spoiler REU becomes defective, can we change from no-go to go? Is it possible to swap PCU and REU, and why? #Boeing787 #AircraftMaintenance #AviationSafety #AviationTechnician #FlightControl #SystemTest #FlyByWire #TransitCheck #ElectricalSpoilers #HydraulicSpoilers #Spoilers #Aviation #Aviation #AviationMaintenance #AviationLife #AviationLovers #AvGeek #PlaneSpotting #AircraftTechnician #AviationMechanic #BoeingTechnician #AviationDaily #AviationEnthusiast #BoeingLife #FlightSafety #Aerospace #AircraftEngineer

The importance of a good aircraft structural bomding results help to keep the integrity of aircraft in case of lightning strick.
Performing a bond test on a Lear 60. Bond testing, sometimes referred to as Loop Testing, consists of testing ground points on an aircraft to ensure they are properly connected. Events such as lightning strikes or corrosion damage can cause aircraft ground points to degrade. Bond testing helps ensure conductive components have acceptable electrical resistance to mitigate damage from lightning strikes or electrical malfunction. SEAL Aviation aims to fully service your aircraft by providing all the aircraft maintenance services our customers require to ensure a convenient and timely repair process. SEAL Aviation has the ability to provide Bond Testing on your aircraft, anywhere in the world. #aviation #aircraft

Informative perspective from author Dale Smith in his article titled "Sound Shop Advice for Pilots: Five steps to the perfect post-maintenance preflight" in Avionics News at https://lnkd.in/gZu7ajAS. Yes, troubleshooting or installing avionics is considered maintenance. Anytime anyone does any inspection, installation, or maintenance to an airplane, it’s the pilot’s responsibility to check and recheck everything to ensure the aircraft is fit for flight. With the help of some experienced avionics shop insiders, we’ve created this list of the top five steps pilots can take to ensure the next post-maintenance preflight is everything it needs to be. #avionics #aviation #maintenance #technology

In this video Why did the pilot continue the takeoff despite engine failure ? The answer is that he already reached V1 (the decision speed) and engine failure during takeoff after reaching V1 is a critical scenario that pilots are trained to handle. V1 definition : The speed at which the pilot must decide whether to continue the takeoff or abort. If an engine fails after V1, the pilot will continue the takeoff & he will notify air traffic control of the situation and intentions. The pilot will focus on maintaining control and proper climb profile, often by using a specific engine-out procedure .In this case the aircraft may need to be adjusted for the failed engine, such as reducing flaps or adjusting speed. In this situation, pilots rely on their training and the aircraft's performance characteristics to ensure a safe ascent and to manage the emergency appropriately. #Aviation #Aircraft #Emergency #Work #Knowledge
