Sales Project Manager | Business Consultant | Business Development Management | Sales Manager | operations manager
Within every step we take in our careers, we grow and learn invaluable lessons, both professionally and personally. The individuals we meet along the way shape our journey, teaching us as we go. Whether we are learning from others or sharing our knowledge to support them, the people we interact with play a significant role in shaping the quality of our experiences. I firmly believe that what truly defines the employee experience and quality is the people and the environment we surround ourselves with. Effective communication skills are key to fostering strong relationships and collaboration. Finding joy in what we do is intrinsically linked to being part of a team that shares the same values and vision. Together, we can achieve great things when we are aligned in purpose and driven by a common goal.

Advancement Communications & Annual Giving Professional | Doctoral Candidate | Board Member for Educational Access Foundations
I once had one of my brand new employees ask me on her first day, “What are my performance objectives for the next three months?” My answer: “Nothing”. When you are new to a role, there is a overwhelming temptation to wipe the entire slate clean and reimagine every little detail of your role, and of the broader team. But the best thing you can do is to be the new person. Ask meaningful questions. See how processes work from all angles. Absorb as much information as you can and observe operations from beginning to end. ✨ Your objective is to do nothing but see everything. ✨ Here were my goals for her (and for all new employees after her): • Take good notes in every meeting • Memorize internal processes and watch how they play out • Familiarize yourself with all of our databases • Comb through current reports and flag items for discussion • Host meetings with colleagues and learn about how they operate within their roles • Soak in the day-to-day You only get to be the new person once. Spend your time asking questions before providing answers. The foundation you lay now will be what you role rests upon for years to come.
