Experienced Analyst, Transfer Pricing @ Andersen | Business Analytics & Research | Economic Analysis
As a fresh graduate, I got an internship offer in a policy and research firm via a LinkedIn DM. Dear Fresh Graduate We cannot overemphasize the import of LinkedIn in helping you navigate the job market. Take LinkedIn seriously! Sometime in early 2021, before my national service deployment A CEO of a research firm based in Abuja contacted me here on LinkedIn He had gone through my profile and felt I was a good fit for an open research analyst role (I had a normal student profile then which could still do the magic 😁) Before much ado, I was scheduled for an interview which went very well The offer was very good for a start since I was going to be an NYSC intern. He tested me with a policy brief to know if I could structure my writing to align with their approach. I did well according to him! So I was left with the option to work out my service to Abuja and voilà, get started! Well, I never got to Abuja because I went with the option NYSC gave me. Here's the takeaway: 🌺 As a fresh graduate, ensure your LinkedIn profile is fully optimized and stay active. 🌺 Connect with and follow professionals in your career path to learn from them 🌺 Share your career interests with people - help can come via recommendations 🌺 Join groups that share internship and entry-level opportunities 🌺 Follow recruiters and engage with their job updates stating your interest - someone may check out your profile 🌺 Take advantage of the job search feature on LinkedIn and job hunt 🌺 It does not hurt to reach out to recruiters and pitch yourself - worst you would get is a "NO" or no response. 🌺 Enrol for courses based on your career path and share your learning journey Did I miss anything? Please add to the list in the comment section to help a fresh graduate out there 👇 And as always, I'm rooting for you!🙏 Have a fantastic Thursday ✨ Your #Friend Archie 🌹

The future of Southern Africa depends on a well-educated and job-ready workforce. In many areas, particularly rural regions, schools lack the resources and infrastructure to deliver a quality education that aligns with the demands of the modern economy. There is a critical gap between the skills taught in schools and those required by employers. With wealth creation being a key pillar of our work, especially as it pertains to young women, we offer vocational training, access to business management training, and job opportunities. These young women, Thlolohelo and Thabang are pictured in their job placements; Tholohelo at a guest house as accountant and receptionist, and Thabang at a local radio station. 💫 #jobtraining #vocationaltraining #southernafrica #lesotho #sentebale #botswana #equity #genderequity #wealthcreation

Virtual Assistant/Customer Service Representative/ I help executives/business owners to transform their businesses with my exceptional support.
There is always a first time of doing something new for everyone. And if we do not get the chance to show what we offer, many of us will not be where we are today. If my first job at Hope Givers Initiative didn’t give me the opportunity to work as a fresh graduate with no prior experience, many of the skills I have developed today, which will be useful to you, my new employer, will not be developed. Today, I am great at: Project Management: I have built teamwork and time management using Calendy and Asana. Office Administration: I developed high organisational skills Monitoring and Evaluation: My eye for details was harnessed through this. Every piece of data, information, image, etc is important for my report writing. Thank you to @blessingchristopher, who was my line manager at Christian Aid Nigeria, for all the time he spent teaching me around this area. Effective Communication and Advocacy: I learned that speaking at the community level is not the same as speaking to government officials. If your message is not delivered in a manner to suit your audience, you have done nothing. Everything is not a fight. Gather every piece of data needed to engage anyone with their effects and communicate rightly, and you will get results. Mrs. Uzoma Uzor, Programme Coordinator at Christian Aid, will call it “Evidence-Based Advocacy Using the Right-Based Approach.”. Public Speaking: I have stood before governors, senators, members of state and federal parliaments, civil servants, and community leaderships and communicated effectively with boldness. As a recruiter, please give a fresher a chance to show what they can do. Once they are hardworking, dedicated, and teachable, please give them an opportunity.

Group Tax Reporting Officer at The Quantum Group Limited || Qualified (ICAG) || CITG Candidate || Sustainability, ESG and Climate Change || Accounting and Finance || Group Tax Compliance and Reporting || Oil and Gas ||
It's hard to find a full-time employment in Ghana following National Service. I hope those who have finished their National Service will be able to get employment. I've got some advice for you. *Connect with professionals on LinkedIn, particularly recruiters and human resource managers, to see if there are any openings at their different firms. *Make as many job applications as you can. Although you will receive rejections, some will undoubtedly contact you for interviews which can lead to job offers. * To begin your professional tests, register with the appropriate professional body (ICAG, ACCA, CITG, CIBG, CIHRM etc.) depending on your career field. Even though it's rather pricey currently, you may still register with them if you have very little. It increases your chances of landing a full-time position. *To acquire some skills, you can enroll in online courses on Coursera. I hope your job search goes well.

Administrative Virtual Assistant|| HR Assistant || Customer Service Representative || Social Media Manager || Ensuring Smooth Business Operations and Impactful Digital Engagement
They said I couldn't become an Administrative Assistant in 30 days. i proved them wrong. When I first came into the corporate world in abuja as an intern, it was quite obvious and a bit embarrassing that I lacked the essential skills required for my position. No mentor. No friends or even my pastor could guild me. I had no idea on where to start from, my goal was simple. I wanted to be an Administrative Assistant in 30 days. Sounds crazy right ? 😀 I know plus with the fact that I knew nothing at all. Lots of people told me my plans were unrealistic, unachievable, i got negative criticism and I was looked down as "Too Fragile " to handle administrative tasks. Some even made comments on my course of study "BUSINESS EDUCATION" as it seemed my best place was to be in a classroom. I insisted that I was going to learn from scratch so i hopped on the 30 days challenge where I took beginner courses on how to be an effective Administrative assistant, I watched videos on how to be proficient in Microsoft office suites, Google workspace and more. Working alongside with my colleagues and superiors I was able to apply my new found knowledge and gain an in dept experience on being an Administrative assistant. Looking back I'm glad I made the choice to and never gave up even with the negative criticism. I am living proof that with the right GROWTH mindset and actions, anything is POSSIBLE! Don't let anyone tell you that it can't be DONE! What's one thing you proved people wrong by doing? 👇🏾 #YouveHaveBeenHookedChallenge #YouveHaveBeenHookedChallengewithIheomaUzomba #Administrativeassistant #AdminVA #Virtualassistant #Network
