A diamond mine, mines diamond and sells diamond. The under-paid workforce dig it out to the surface for selling. That's it. So, if the owner wishes so, he/she can only hire the workforce, HR, finance and SCM and ignore other professionals. So, professionals (dependent variable) exist because of the workforce (independent variable). This is what leaders should know, they exist because of the people they lead. Thus, those people deserve the respect from leadership.

Last night's Young Mining Professionals Perth (YMP Perth) panel, "Becoming a Leader of Leaders," highlighted the diverse range of backgrounds and leadership approaches among WA's leading minds. Featuring prominent figures like Sébastien Leboeuf, Sally Langer, Felicity Gooding, and Tony Chong, the discussion went beyond mining operations and explored the broader skillset needed to be a successful leader in today's shifting environment. The key takeaways I found most impactful: 1. Lifelong Curiosity: Great leaders never stop asking questions & listening to varied voices. It fuels growth & unlocks innovation. 2. Recent exploration has been methodical, revealing the project's true potential. The Redcastle Gold Project now boasts a maiden JORC Resource of ~11,000 ounces, with further expansion from recent diamond drilling. The project is estimated to have about 430,000 ounces at Queen Alexandra (QA) and Redcastle Reef, with significant upside at both locations.
