Diversity & Inclusion is talked about a lot these days but companies still don't get it. It's not a numbers game. You don't show you're inclusive because 20% of your staff come from an ethnic minority background (figure being used as an example). You show it by giving people jobs they deserve based on their skills and not by stereotyping them. Just because someone is from an ethnic minority background, it doesn't mean they would only be suitable for a role in your IT or finance department. Just because someone doesn't drink alcohol, it doesn't mean they can't network and build relationships with clients. Just because someone looks a certain way, it doesn't allow you to use them as a 'tick-box' hire and a PR tool to make your company look diverse by inviting them to meet clients and putting their face all over your website. If your company really is 'inclusive', you will see the benefits but don't pretend to be just because everyone else is talking about it. #DiversityAndInclusion #Media #Recruitment
