Ai won't change the road. It'll just fill in the potholes...or 'Goal Holes' Does Goal-Based Recruiting Reverse the Recruiting Monetization Model? Recruiting is important. Why? 1. Demand for jobs 2. Supply of jobs 3. Matching Supply and Demand is hard. Linkedin helps. But it keeps a hidden veil between supply and demand. Indeed. Same issue. But does Ai change the recruiting industry? And not in the spammy way that most people expect? Let's look at a simplified rationale for a hire. An Exec, or Business Owner or Founder has a goal. Let's simplify the goal into the 3D's: 1. Design 2. Discovery 3. Distribution In short, they want to be able to improve the design of the product or service. Or increase discovery or awareness of their offer. Or increase distribution/sales of their offer. This goal is then filtered as follows: 1. Goal 2. Role Objectives 3. Role Tasks [aka Job Description] 4. Role Requisition This makes sense. Well, it makes sense currently! So, back to the point. The realized cost for this approach is 20% in hiring fees. Standard. But the true costs are much higher. In poncy economic terms: Both the candidate and hiring firm suffer 'Externalities' in the process. So, to get to the goal, they need to: 1. Set goal, 2. List objectives, and then 3. Turn these into a Job Description, and then 4. Hire a firm to recruit, 5. Interview, 6. Hire, 6. Onboard and then 7. Set goals and objectives with new hire 8. And track these, of course. Wow. That's a lot! But we all know this already. It's a dance, and we like to party! But like it's 1999! Is there another way? Well, despite all the hype. Ai isn't taking your job. No. Not yet! Ai isn't taking your job! But more interestingly, Ai could fill job holes. Let's call them 'Goal Holes'. Now, try saying that five times with my lisp! So what is a goal hole? A Goal Hole is simply a company goal that isn't accessible to a JD. i.e. an unmet company need. A new hire should solve this. i.e. create a new road But this 'Goal Hole' is most likely adjacent to an existing role. Thus, a goal role may be cheaper, better, and faster rather than a new road. Many of these potholes exist in the current market. Pricing, Cyber, Blockchain and many other specialist new industries. All have talent shortages! These shortages will be met by Ai helping existing teams to fill the hole. Ai won't change the road. It'll just fill in potholes! For now! Goal Holes. Filled by Goal Based Recruiting. #ai #goalholes #recruiting #monetization #pricing

Curious as to how long you all think it will take for companies who use AI to initially review CVs to learn they aren't going to find the best and most qualified candidates? They're only going to find people who have learned to use AI themselves to tell them what they think it wants to read. Likely with no actual related skills to back it up.

Ok...here I am again with this latest swath of automata trying to pass off as "someone" I would be interested in putting my confidence for future employment in. Not. So now, moreso than the usual emails and calls from recruiters....I not only get GPTMail...I get GPTTexts. Behold the lastest use of our friendly AI's... Not only have I no calls in my call log from this AI...but what makes a recruiting company of this size (They're a well known company here in the states) think that I'd want to have a conversation with a BOT about my career? Again, I have a lot of recruiters in my network and I don't expect them to interact with this post, but I hope some of them see it and have a frank conversation with their colleagues about this trend. Take note that my last post's survey at last count states that recruiting should be BY humans FOR humans. Has this happened to you? Have you been contacted this way? Drop a comment either way as LI won't let you have a picture simultaneously including a survey as well. And before anyone asks I'll only be saying who this company is to a recruiter from said company asks me directly. The bigger question....is this the only recruiter doing this? 🤔 We can do better....let's uncover better ways together...
