This room has saved the lives of so many people. This is a Neurosurgical Interventional Radiology operating room. This room has the capability to clear a blood clot from someone having a stroke. It can place a stent in someone’s carotid artery to restore proper blood flow to the brain. It can help diagnose various diseases and conditions. The amount of equipment in here is in the millions, easily. Groundbreaking. Technologically advanced. Life-saving. Yet, right now, it’s missing one thing. People. The equipment, truthfully, saves no one. Instead, it enables masters of their craft to do their job, and to do it well. Residents. Attending physicians. CRNAs. Nurses. IR techs. Anesthesia techs. EVS techs. They get the job done. A room full of fancy equipment filled with the wrong people might as well be empty. The people on your team are much more important than the equipment used by your team. This equipment has helped our team save more lives, but it is still OUR team that saves the lives. Who’s on your team matters. #teambuilding #teamappreciation #neurosurgery #operatingroomnurse
