2moIn addition to a sports management degree, six-figure jobs will require multiple years of work experience AND experience leading teams. If you are in school, take advantage of leading a team project and get a job in your athletic or rec/intramural dept if possible. Also, look into summer internships with professional teams, leagues, schools, or youth sports programs (preferably paid). If you are a college athlete and playing sports is your full-time job, get yourself a mentor on the administrative side that can walk you through the inner workings of running an athletic program, including budgeting, facilities, ticketing, parternship activation, compliance, etc.
