Let's go today's topic. Is pricing for profit and and here I'm going to take probably 2 minutes, maybe three and talk about how how do we price for profit. So it's a acronym I use fairly often. The first thing is age for honest, I know for a fact beyond a shadow of a doubt. That if you tell yourself the whole truth, and the truth is a little subjective sometimes as it relates to pricing, and you can ask Brian Kramer and I, we disagree on a lot of things. We kid each other a lot. But if you can find your way to the truth, not just for the evidence you've gathered to support your truth, but the whole truth. Meaning you're looking at the market, you're looking at the actual car, you're looking at the equipment and the color, and you're comparing it to a competitive set that's real but not manufactured. And you start telling yourself the truth to what the demand index is, what the scarcity is. And you really see that car, by the way, once you learn some of the things that I'm sure this room we'll talk about. If you don't already know, this is not something you need to spend 30 minutes of car up when you get good and you know how to find the truth and then tell yourself the truth. It's minutes. It's not a long time to do this. So tell yourself the whole truth, day one, and not just the truth that supports your narrative. For your story, the OHH. In the how is open, open to the truth? I mean really being open to, you know, maybe you made a mistake. Maybe what you thought you saw isn't what you really saw. And it's time to tell yourself the truth and stop being in denial, open minded them to understand the car, the market and what the market saying to you. I cannot tell you how many times people I talk to are not open minded to the markets. Not talking to you, man, I don't care if you're #1. Price range #1V rank value rank the markets telling you you are off. Something's not right. So be open minded to seeing that evidence that you most likely a lot of people do ignore. And then the W the willing piece be willing to take action like I mean immediate action not hope that things get better. Three weeks from now hope that you start getting some mess our fees and VDP hoping somebody bumps their head and buys the car. I mean really be willing to take the necessary action. Make the hard, hard decision because sometimes people get wrapped up in what? Their hubris and their ego that cards worth what it's worth. I know this business. I know this market. I know that car. The minute you're using and pulling out those personal pronouns like I, I, I, I, I, you are done in my opinion. So the ego, which by the way ties right into our topic pricing for profit Ego I believe is the reason that we fall out of profit situations more often than not. An ego stands for me in an acronym perspective easing. Gross out. So be willing to remove the ego. So how? Be honest. Tell yourself the real truth, not just the truth you wanna see. Be open. Ask for help. Get advice. Get a second opinion. Be open to really looking at that car and then be willing to make the hard decision.
