In 2011 The Economist had an article and I saved the issue and I still it - despite a couple of country relocations: one was about a British scientist that advanced the idea of swirling high powered lasers that would create a vortex that would launch pure CO2 into the stratosphere - I guess there would need to be high purity CO2 collection points around the world and a laser Dyson type vacuum cleaner sending it out into the great beyond. There was also a competing idea that had problems - a nano material super lightweight 70 Km freestanding chimney. We need to put big R&D brains and dollars into these out in left field ideas - I can’t rid this swirling laser idea out of my mind !
Don’t discount PYCCS! It’s a wonderful decarbonization tool rapidly expanding with many additionalities
