SOAP Notes are a really good way for acupuncturists to have comprehensive documentation. In following the SOAP structure, you can ensure all aspects of the patient's condition, treatment, and progress are systematically recorded. Which allows for efficient patient monitoring, tracking of patient progress and to see if adjustments to treatment plans are working. SOAP Notes also facilitate continuity of care. Consistent and thorough treatment can be maintained by reviewing previous SOAP Notes. After multiple visits, it's important for an acupuncturist to have a clear record of past treatments and patient responses. If you haven’t come across SOAP Notes yet or are still unsure about the acronym, follow us. We'll be posting more about the basic fundamentals of SOAP.
