Examining the LCOH is crucial for successfully integrating renewable hydrogen into the energy mix during the just and orderly energy transition. This comprehensive manual explains the methodology behind the interactive LCOH calculator on the European Hydrogen Observatory website. It also demonstrates how the LCOH calculator can be utilized to estimate the expenses related to hydrogen production in Europe using low-temperature electrolysis, considering various sources of electricity.
