How welcome do you feel when asked to check in at a self-service kiosk in a “cookie cutter” hotel chain or fumble with the key lock box at a random AirBnB? Do you feel at home, comfortable, and safe?   It’s called the hospitality industry for a reason. So why do so many hospitality businesses attempt to bypass the warm welcome a guest should expect when arriving at their accommodation? If it’s 100% down to cost, why isn’t this reflected in the price of a room?
