If the legal profession can disbar their fellow lawyers when they clearly do illegal things, why can’t politicians also prevent their lawbreakers from continuing to work in their professions?! This same standard should definitely apply to Trump (and many other politicians although none quite as egregious in their illegal activities as our former president). It is even spelled out in the 14th amendment to our constitution, if only SCOTUS would use common sense in interpreting the law. “Rudy Giuliani, who once served as New York City’s mayor and the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, has been disbarred “effective immediately” for his efforts to subvert the 2020 presidential election, a state appeals court ruled Tuesday. The US President can only pardon people for federal crimes. If one is convicted of a state crime the governor of that state may be able to grant a pardon, but the US President will be powerless to intercede. Note: this assumes that the US Constitution remains in-effect after the next US Presidential election. She was also just indicted by a grand jury for election-related crimes. A total of 18 Republicans were indicted in Arizona yesterday as part of the party’s fake elector scandal from 2020, including 11 people who served as fake electors themselves. But it’s worth pausing to take a closer look at the other seven, each of whom worked with Donald Trump. Clarity from the SCOTUS is good news. This means the 3 remaining grand jury trials with 54 felony counts including RICO can proceed. Also, we’re only 10 days away from our former president’s sentencing in his 34 felony convictions. Justice has been slow, but it’s going to be sweet! “The Supreme Court on Monday raised the bar for prosecuting Donald Trump, ruling that he has immunity for some of his conduct as president in his federal election interference case, but maybe not for other actions, adding another obstacle for special counsel Jack Smith taking the case to trial. In a novel and potentially consequential case on the limits of presidential power, the justices voted 6-3 along ideological lines to reject Trump’s broad claim of immunity, meaning the charges relating to his attempts to overturn the 2020 election results will not be dismissed, but said some actions closely related to his core duties as president are off-limits to prosecutors. "The president is not above the law," Roberts wrote. Not political at all just stating facts here: First, our Constitution, Fourteenth Amendment is very clear that: “anyone who ‘engaged in insurrection or rebellion’ after taking an oath of office to support the Constitution is forbidden from holding any public office.” Trump absolutely planned, organized, funded, incited and then defended those domestic terrorists who attacked our democracy and Capitol. I don’t understand how his followers can stand by the Second Amendment and ignore the Fourteenth. It’s an all or nothing thing. Second, our Supreme Court, has but one job, their ONLY job is to rule by protecting and upholding our constitution. This should be clear and straightforward.

THANKS TO SCOTUS, 2024 MAY WELL BE THE LAST FREE ELECTION! I know that seems overly dramatic, but it isn't. SCOTUS has effectively said that Trump cannot be tried for his attempts to overthrow the 2020 election before the 2024 election. SCOTUS has set hearing on Trump's immunity claims for April, and there is no guarantee that a ruling will be delivered in June. Even if it is delivered in June, and even if the ruling is against Trump, there will be insufficient time to try him before the November election. Which brings us to the real problem. Scheduling the hearing at all is a good indicator that SCOTUS may well rule in Trump's favor. If SCOTUS is going to rule against Trump, why have the hearing at all; let the dissenters file a dissent to the denial of a hearing. And if SCOTUS rules even a little bit in Trump's favor (not sure how that could happen) and should Trump them be elected in November, Trump would have no reason to permit an election in 2028 or even to leave office.
