DESIGN Aah Design, the lifeforce of engineering, the sudden reason everyone mentions when asked the question “why did you choose engineering?” 😅 Indeed, design plays a huge part in engineering, but not for the reason you would think. In my opinion, design in engineering is a motif, but in our case, it is not an image or pattern but instead a recurring of formulas and calculations to give an aesthetic and scientifically proven assembly. Yes, engineering design does consist of more but the formulas, laws, theories etc. are the baseline for every design and I see them as the engineering motif when related with art.
