Important new findings from Energy and Climate Intelligence Unit show that almost two-thirds (62%) of the public believe the best way to achieve energy security is to reduce the use of fossil fuels and instead expand the use of #renewables. This represents a clear indication that the election should be a race to the top on #climate ambition from all parties. Those surveyed also ranked renewable energy and clean technology as the top growth sector, backed by 44% in total. Accelerating progress to #netzero will boost energy security, create jobs and drive prosperity across the country, and the public recognises this. https://lnkd.in/eCRiWbC3

The #KingsSpeech today included some key info on how the government plans to turn the UK into a 'clean energy superpower'. Good Energy chief executive Nigel Pocklington said: “GB Energy, a national wealth fund and speeding up offshore wind are all good routes to progress on large scale renewable infrastructure. “We must not forget that in energy, small can be big too — the UK’s rooftop solar has a greater total capacity than our largest power station. And Good Energy’s data has indicated that the power it exports to the grid has been underestimated. “We have heard the Labour government wants to create a ‘rooftop revolution’. Let’s make sure people are part of the solution to the climate crisis by turning millions of homes into micro power stations.” #renewableenergy #cleanenergy #climatechange #carbon #zerocarbon #renewableelectricity #renewables #solarpower #rooftopsolar

From the end of 2022 to the end of 2023, the US government poured $34 billion of federal spending into the renewable energy industry. The largest portion of this funding came from tax incentives like the IRA. For each dollar the government invested into these programs, the private sector spent $5.50, leading the clean tech industry to hit the $240B mark last year. In order to leverage these incentives, the most important thing for businesses to understand is their tax appetite. At EnPowered, we are experts in leveraging these tax incentives to match your tax appetite to create the optimal financing package for your solar project. The rooftop revolution is back on track as the energy secretary, Ed Miliband, has now taken the decision last weekend to approve three massive solar farms in the east of England that had been previously blocked. Supporting land and building owners on a path to a renewable future is key now, and we are so encouraged by this decision. Our team have been involved in some of the largest and most high profile commercial solar client projects in the UK - commercial rooftops, utility scale ground mounted, residential developments and solar canopies for car park applications. Offering early feasibility studies, development advice, strategic portfolio advice, design, project management, asset management advice, funding models and access to some of the best Solar PV construction and maintenance companies in the country we are happy to answer any questions.
