Absolutely, as we say here at SEND: “it is ALL about relationships”💗 We work with schools to create a holistic eco-system where all community members have a sense of belonging and mutual respect and understanding. Dividing ourselves and generating conflict is an all too easy trap to fall into… However, we all have the same priority; whether you are a parent, carer, child, school leader, teacher, staff member or part of the wider community, we all want the best for our learners. The children and their futures is all that really matters. If we can find the ties that bring us all together, we can achieve an environment where it is secure and safe, for both staff and children and welcoming for parents. We know to be able to thrive and learn we need to feel safe and wrapped up in secure relationships. The pandemic has undoubtedly reshaped the dynamics between parents, children, and schools, highlighting the importance of positive attitudes and relationships within the educational setting. Adapting to these changes requires a collaborative effort among all stakeholders to foster a supportive and inclusive environment that prioritizes the well-being and academic success of students. By addressing these challenges with empathy, open communication, and a shared commitment to inclusivity, we can navigate this transitional period and create a stronger foundation for education moving forward.
