During October, I’m proud to be an ambassador for the American Cancer Society Real Men Wear Pink campaign to help save lives from breast cancer! Like many others, I was personally devastated by this terrible disease. My sister-in-law, Candice Vega, battled stage 3 breast cancer. Her treatment required chemotherapy, radiation, and a double mastectomy. In her time of need, the American Cancer Society was there, providing treatment support and lifesaving hope. Happy to share that Candice is one of the 3.8 million US breast cancer survivors and she and my brother, Mark Vega MSN, RN, look forward to a bright, cancer-free future.
