We are proud members of Swansea Bay Construction Support Group and have attended their Christmas meeting this week where we presented a cheque for £1000 for 'Hands Up for Downs' and £1000 to the 'Jac Lewis Foundation' from funds raised at their apprentice awards dinner earlier in the year. Our Health and Safety and Training Manager has an active role in the group which brings a wealth of training support and benefits as well as being able to contribute to best practice. The group shines a light on apprentices and training needs and offers an array of support for construction companies in the region. Congratulations all and we look forward to collaborating further in 2025 ✨ Read more about it here: https://lnkd.in/ePpBvsXn John Weaver Contractors - Where Quality Doesn't Cost, It Pays! #training #networking #healthandsafety #charity #sbcsg #swansea #neathporttabot Euros Griffiths John Jones Terry Edwards FCIOB Ceri Best Nathan Davies MCIOB

Just a friendly reminder from Hiland Construction, LLC. to always research and choose your contractors carefully. Even though many are fantastic, it’s important to ensure that the one you hire aligns with your expectations and needs. If you had an experience that wasn’t quite right, sharing it can help others make informed decisions too. #renovation #nonprofit #houseupdate #joeshousefoundation

A new report from the The Bikeability Trust has found that cycle training that meets the National Standards for Cycle Training (NSCT) can reduce the risk of a cyclist being killed or injured on England’s roads. The charity is calling on the Government to ensure that all cycle training funded by the Department for Transport (DfT) and Active Travel England (ATE) is delivered to those national standards. How do charities operate and implement CPD? Operating a charity usually requires multiple skilled workers who can navigate their field and ensure the organisation functions effectively. Training is a key aspect of a successful charitable organisation as it ensures workers remain competent and adaptable to changing circumstances. Furthermore, effective internal training systems can be crucial if the charity operates with temporary volunteers. Continuing Professional Development (CPD) participation can be a valuable means for developing the required skills within a charitable organisation. CPD is the term used to describe the learning activities professionals engage in to develop and enhance their abilities throughout their career. Active CPD is an effective and often cost-effective way for charities to provide the high-quality training needed to be successful. Charitable organisations may encourage CPD participation within their workforce, while individuals may focus on their own #CPD to develop #skills that enable them to contribute and add value as employees or #volunteers.
