The response to my Army #gigalert has been great, and frankly, more than I can handle. And we've added a role to the list. So if you're interested, please read: - These roles are at Team DDB, the multi-agency entity we built for the U.S. Army. You'd be a DDB employee, but also work closely with partner agencies across the entire marketing spectrum. - We don't want the first thing that comes to mind when you think "Army work." In fact, we need to counter that kind of work. - Full-time, not freelance. Freelancers, your time will come. - If you don't live in Chicago, you'd have to relocate. Hybrid, not fully remote. (Amazing city, where you can afford a bigger place and better food than in NYC, SF, or LA. We'll help you get through the winters.) - ECDs and CCOs, I love you, but you'll have to take my job to get that title. I'm not ready to give it up yet, and I'm stronger than I look. - For CD/Copy, reach out to recruiter Lauren Berger. - For ACD/Copy, ACD/Art, Senior Copywriter, and Senior Art Director, reach out to Jourdan Adler. - I have a few things on my plate, so if you only reach out to me directly, there's a good chance I won't get back to you. As these messages pile up, I'll develop the nagging sense that I'm missing the opportunity to talk to someone amazing, which will depress me and affect the quality of my work. Ha. Love the specifics John. I think job posts actually should have simple qualifiers so you don’t get inundated and candidates have a real shot. Grand, impossible to reach job descriptions I think need to go and be replaced with straight-talking, honest, here’s-the-deal write-ups. You almost don’t need anything more than this to be honest. ❤️

Jourdan Adler John Carstens, I would like to recommend a talented former colleague, Andrea Ramos (Bettinardi). She has extensive brand campaign experience and would be ideal for an ACD/Art role on the DDB U.S. Army Team.
