Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week Want to get involved with your local community but don't know how? www.hhweek.org has a few suggestions. Here are three things you can do: 1. Host an Event - host an event to inspire your community to help fight hunger and homelessness in your city. 2. Volunteer - Volunteer at local organizations hosting events. You can impact our community from November 28 to December 5 by supporting the 12th and final Stay Up Ottawa, YSB’s citywide fundraising event to end youth homelessness. Homelessness affects over 1,400 young people in Ottawa every year. With your support, we’re determined to raise $75,000 to fund YSB’s 2 emergency shelters and 4 housing buildings, providing critical resources to help youth have safe housing and build brighter futures. Through our platform, people navigating reentry can share their experiences and rate their interactions with parole officers, offering a unique, ground-level perspective on the system.
