In March, staff members and leaders from across The Johns Hopkins Hospital gathered to hear the good news that the hospital had received its fifth consecutive Magnet designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Less than 10% of hospitals nationwide have achieved Magnet designation, and less than 1% of U.S. hospitals have earned it five consecutive times. The Magnet designation is a prestigious recognition of nursing excellence, quality patient care and innovation in professional nursing practice is a tribute to our nurses and all of our care team members, who provide compassionate, patient-centered and family-centered care 24/7.
