Friday Thought: The Journey of a Fashion Designer 💟 As I reflect on the week, I am reminded of the many challenges and rewards that come with being a fashion designer. It is a role filled with constant learning and growth, and I would not trade it for anything. The challenges include keeping up with fast-changing trends, overcoming creative blocks and balancing creativity with business needs. However, the rewards make it all worthwhile: seeing my designs come to life, bringing joy and inspiration to others, and continuously learning and growing. Being a fashion designer is not always easy, but it is my biggest passion. Every challenge I face helps me grow, making the rewards even more fulfilling. I absolutely love the Met Gala, for several reasons - the sheer craftsmanship and creativity is unparalleled. Its's where culture and fashion collide. What fascinates me the most is how people interpret each years theme “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,” with the dress code of 'The Garden of Time'. Like all good branding how you visually interpret a theme (big idea) can make it a timeless wonder or simply unforgettable. Was it the most stand out Met to date no, but storytelling is everything. These are some of the visual trends I spotted out of this years showcase. What was your favorite look?
