It's all about exchanging the experiences for us at Būves nākotnei / CONSTRUCTIVE, so no trip is whole without understanding (or at least trying to) local construction process trends, challenges and overall culture. My first impression is that in New York City you won't see almost any construction on the street level, you have to go higher ⬆️ 💰 According to Turner & Townsend International Construction Market Survey 2024, New York City is the most expensive market to build for the second year in a row. The average construction cost per m2 is 5,723 USD - not surprised as the space for new construction is so limited in Manhattan. Limited space in Manhattan creates unique logistical challenges. Many construction sites rely on vertical storage solutions and precise scheduling to manage deliveries and material storage. I'll share a bit more of my insights from this one of a kind city in the upcoming days 🙌
