Thank you to PureKindness Foundation for the donation of toothbrushes for our personal care shelves! The dental care items were sponsored by Iowa Orthodontic Solutions and Ankeny Children's Dental. The mission of the PureKindness Foundation is to spread compassion and make a positive impact on communities through simple acts of kindness.

The youth at Saint James Lutheran Church spent time last week packaging hundreds of feminine hygiene products and making 24 cake kits for the food pantry last week. We are grateful for their acts of service and generous donation!

The Johnston Partnership is proud to be a 2024 Polk County Community Betterment Grant Recipient. The Polk County Community Betterment Grant Program was designed to provide financial support to non-profit organizations that provide cultural, recreational, educational, and human needs services to citizens. We are thankful to Polk County for many years of support!

Last year we distributed almost 1,200 coats between October and February. With record numbers of families visiting our clothing closet, we anticipate the need this season to be high. Thank you to the staff, students and parents at Horizon Elementary School for collecting 49 pounds of personal care items for the food pantry! These toiletry items are always very much in demand, and can make a huge difference in the well being of a family.
