🚧 Transforming Congress Avenue! 🚧 Big updates are on the way for one of Austin's most iconic streets! The Congress Avenue Urban Design Initiative (CAUDI) aims to enhance the area with a focus on pedestrian access and vibrant community spaces. Here’s what’s in store: 🌳 A new public plaza could be added between Seventh and 11th Street, creating a central hub for gatherings and activities. 🚗 Vehicle traffic will be rerouted just north of Seventh Street, while Seventh through 11th will still allow east and west movement. 🅿️ A shift in space usage means 94 parking spots will be removed to foster a more walkable environment. 🚴♂️ Upgraded bicycle lanes and new turn lanes at key intersections to improve safety for all travelers. With the first phase estimated at $22 million—funded by the 2020 Active Transportation and Safety Bond—and a total cost of $130 million projected, this initiative aims to revitalize the area known for its restaurants, vintage shops, and bars. That’s the reality for people moving into revamped malls turned residential spaces. It’s genius, eco-friendly, and honestly, a little hilarious. The perks are undeniable. Need space? Mall hallways are basically indoor highways. Love natural light? Those iconic skylights are a plant parent’s dream. Three pet peeves in commercial space: 1) Bathrooms - no changing tables and not knowing whether the bathrooms is vacant or not. 2) Deep clean - I would say a majority of the establishments I go into have their intake vents for mechanicals caked in some sort of dust. Even places where everything else is clean. Fans, high ceiling corners, and ledges are another culprit. 3) Wayfinding - when you go somewhere and it’s easy to find your way around because the space was designed for it, it is just a vibe. When you are instantly confused and second guessing your every move, it tarnishes the experience. Anyone share in these thoughts? #Retail

Westfield, NJ—where every tree-lined street looks like it came straight out of a home decor magazine, and "charm" practically oozes from every corner. If you're thinking about moving here, here's what you'll experience, and maybe, just maybe, fall in love with. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Let's dig into what makes Westfield a little too perfect for its own good. 1. Picture-Perfect Downtown Think quaint cobblestone streets, fancy boutiques, and coffee shops on every corner. It’s so charming, you might need a scarf and a $15 artisanal latte just to run errands. 2. Community Vibes Like No Other Whether it’s pumpkin carving contests or neighborhood cookie drop-offs, Westfield’s all about community. You’ll be invited to every committee, whether you like it or not. 3. Houses Straight Out of a Magazine From flawless lawns to homes that look like they belong in a photo shoot, Westfield’s got real estate goals. Your grass will be greener here—literally. 🌿 4. The Westfield Commute 45 minutes from Manhattan? Sure! But, be ready for the daily “hustle and bustle” on the train. Still, it's worth it for that “I’m so close to NYC” brag. 5. Dining + Parks That Make You Feel Like a VIP Farm-to-table meals, Insta-worthy parks, and gourmet picnics. Westfield is where your lifestyle choices are elevated to an art form. Thinking about moving to Westfield? Let's talk! I know the ins and outs of Westfield and would love to show you what makes it a special place to live. #westfieldlocal #movetonj #movetowestfield #jacquelinemandellgroup #soldwithjackie
