"Stay in touch even after rejections. If your interviews went well and you still like the company (remember, you’re interviewing them too!), it’s best to keep that door open. Regarding rejections, I think it’s important to remember that you don’t have any control over the other people they interview or the interviewers. You are qualified, and the only reason you didn’t get the role is that someone else did, and that’s okay, it’s not a reflection of you as a person." Selina Renfrow shares lessons learned and how she landed a job in customer support after a seven-month-long search. 👉 Read the full post: https://bit.ly/4eB7aof

Week 03 of the 6-week job search challenge. - 12 jobs were applied for, 1 referral. - I made two pitch decks catering to job needs. - 7 rounds of interviews with 3 different companies. - 1 design challenge. I did not like the initial one so made another. - I rephrased my about-me statement and wrote down points to answer interview questions. This week flew by! I've always found the first and last rounds of interviews to be a bit challenging. So, I decided to tackle it by writing down key points to keep my answers concise and relevant. Pro tip: Having speaker notes handy made all the difference! Keeping it short and sweet helped me stay focused and share exactly what mattered. Thanks to my friends for helping me with the content. This week is about my future with all the companies I have interviewed with to date. If I get a reply, I have my final rounds this week and next week. I'm hoping to hear some good luck. Career Coach | Helping job seekers confidently navigate their next career move with proven strategies that work!
My client got called for an interview less than a week after applying. Here's how she did it... I had a client come to me, frustrated, naturally. She had been applying to different jobs for months and received nothing but rejection emails. She was qualified, had years of relevant experience, and yet, it seemed like her resume was falling into a black hole and she couldn’t understand why. When I took a look at her resume, the issue was clear: She was underselling herself. The resume was a generic list of responsibilities — but it didn’t tell HER story. We made one key change: Instead of focusing on what she had done, we emphasized how she had done it and the impact she had on each role. We turned her job duties into quantifiable achievements. For example, instead of saying “Managed a team of 5,” we reframed it as: “Led a high-performing team of 5, increasing department efficiency by 20% through improved workflow strategies.” ✨This plus a few other proactive strategies and the difference was immediate. Her resume started to get her noticed. Less than a week after making the changes, she landed 2 interviews and a month later she secured an offer with a company she was excited about! The lesson? It’s not always about what you do, but how you communicate it. Employers want to see results, not just responsibilities. 👉 In just a few weeks! I’m launching a Job Search Jump Start course, and I’m looking for a handful of students to take it at a discounted rate in exchange for testimonials. 🎯 My goal? To help you land an interview within a week of enrolling in the course! Keep an eye out for more details, or if you’re ready to be one of the first to get details, DM me, and I’ll share how you can get in on this early opportunity. Let’s get you hired! #JobSearchTips #ResumeWriting #resumetips #ResumeRevamp #GetHired #CareerCoach #LinkedInHacks #JobSearchSuccess

Hey, job seeker. Is your confidence in the trashcan right now? If your answer is yes, you are not alone right now. I’m hearing it DAILY. This job market sucks. But, how you feel about yourself inside your job search matters. It’s hard to land interviews when everything you’re putting out there is “meh”. Enter my secret sauce trick. Your secret sauce is step one in a killer resume, but what I’ve seen over and over is that discovering it *dramatically increases your confidence in a job search*. So, what is your secret sauce? What does that mean? It’s what makes YOU unique from someone with similar job experience. I’d love to walk you through some questions to help you identify it (you DO have a secret sauce) and, as an added bonus, two more strategies for a killer resume. I've put the link in the comments for you to watch the free training and begin to understand what makes you an amazing candidate and have you applying with confidence again (or for the first time!). #twoweeksnotice #quietquitting #iquit #careerchange #workingmom #careerwoman #jobsearch

Job Search Coach to over 2,000/ don't stress over the broken system/get different results with recruiters and HR/what you say gets you hired/Connect with me for 1-on-1.
ONE QUESTION JOB SEEKERS WHO GET HIRED NEVER ASK Why were you picked for the job? It has a huge answer you need to know to succeed, and there is one reason. What you said about yourself is not what you would have said 2 or 3 years ago. While the interview that got you hired is still fresh, go over it and record the answers you gave that impressed the interviewer. This is your why me; the way you showed your value. Ask yourself if when you started your search 30 days before, or more, would you have said what you said the same way? No, you learned you needed to adapt your answers to what the interviewer wanted to hear, and it wasn't the same as when you last looked for a job. Shortening your search time and adapting is what experienced job search coaches show you. You need to be necessary because necessary people get hired. DM me here and let's talk 1 on 1.

"I want to leave my job, but cannot find another one". This came up in a mentoring conversation several months ago. I was really surprised by that. That person had valuable experience and impressive resume. Trying to debug the situation, I asked – “are you applying and not getting interviews?” Them: “I haven’t applied yet” Me: “are you not able to find relevant jobs?” Them: “there are several interesting jobs, I just don’t think I’m good enough for any of them..” ------ Growth means that you push yourself to places you’re not 100% ready for. 60% ready at best. The rest you will figure out as you go. If you think you're not a perfect fit for a role, you've got two options: 1. Apply anyway – chance of success greater than 0% 2. Not apply – chance of success exactly 0% Don’t disqualify yourself from interesting roles. Let the employers do it for you.
