As I reflect on my journey at Ditya, one truth shines brightly: the path to success is paved with collaboration, not solitude. Every milestone, every achievement, and every breakthrough has been a testament to the collective effort and synergy of a dedicated team. In the dynamic landscape of today's workplace, the ability to collaborate effectively isn't just a skill; it's a fundamental pillar of success. It's about recognizing that our greatest achievements are rarely the result of individual brilliance but rather the culmination of diverse talents, perspectives, and ideas coming together towards a common goal. Teamwork isn't just about working together; it's about amplifying each other's strengths, supporting one another through challenges, and celebrating victories as a unified force. I’d like to express gratitude to my Head Chef Natalia Peters and my support team -Roopal Nayak and Harshita Sureka who work tirelessly and treat Ditya like their own baby. Gratitude Friday! I want to thank the company Continental. 🙏🏻 I have worked for a division of Continental, ContiTech, for a little over eight years. Throughout those years I have seen several employees leave, and then come back. Like every company there are things that are frustrating, but where it matters, although they may not always get it right, in my belief they are always willing to listen. They also aren’t afraid of changing to get it right. As an employee of this great company, they have great support for their divisions. Especially from a people standpoint. I have worked for 🤔 12… 12 companies prior to finding a place that stuck, so I would say I have a little bit of authority. And this was 12 companies from the time I was 16 until I was 33, so average change once every 1.5 years. That’s a lot of change but also a lot of experience in different systems. This one has been the best, for several reasons. 🥸 They promote a culture where you can be yourself. There are many different personalities within the organization that help make a great team. Also they are globally connected, helping me learn about different cultures and I have grown a lot in the last eight years. 📚They have a continuous learning culture. They push you to learn and continue to learn, and have a Massive Open Learning a platform as well as a globally structured training development program. 🙂 I dare say they care about you. You can tell the tree from its fruit, and you can’t just say things, you need to be able to put it into action. While execution is not always easy, you can see the effort is there. While calling out the company and thanking Continental is not really who I am thanking, it is all of the people over all of the eight years that I have been here that make it a wonderful experience. It is possible I have met hundreds possibly thousands of people that have had an impact in my career. Some dates are always special such as today, the date when we launched Silver Talkies Club six years ago in 2018, based on the inputs from attendees of our events. They wanted to meet more often, know their co-participants better and have more fun and engaging opportunities. Hence Silver Talkies Club was born in a time and age when active ageing, loneliness and isolation among older adults were not spoken about or discussed much in our country. I was in fact told by many peers that I was playing in a small niche field. Fast forward to 2024, almost every new player in the senior care space is looking at addressing similar issues with similar models. Did we start too early or did they start too late? I think it is immaterial for as they say that all's well that ends well. What is most heartening for me is to note that in the pic below all the people who became members in 2018 are still members in 2024, with the exception of one member whom we lost a few months ago.
