Stir fries, vegetable soups and salads - without a recipe. Once you get started, you get the hang of it quickly. 3️⃣ Don’t try to be perfect Living healthy doesn’t mean to never have a drink or eat a piece of cake. What a Sunday treat it was, diving into the indulgent layers of a luscious banoffee pie sundae and a hearty roast dinner that had me at hello! 🤤🍨 But when we’re on the journey to weight loss, it’s all about the numbers game, isn't it? So here’s the scoop: that drool-worthy meal? A whopping 1750 calories and thats without any added drinks as I don't drink alcohol but add a glass of wine and its almost up to 2000 calories. Now, if we consider that the average daily calorie intake for a sedentary man is around 2500 calories, and for a woman, it's about 2000, it’s clear that such a feast takes up a big chunk of that budget. And if we're aiming to shed some pounds, we need to pull those numbers down lower than the average. This is why so many find it challenging to lose weight - it's not just about hitting the average, but consistently staying below it to see the scale tip in our favour. Breakfast, lunch, snacks, alcohol and then a treat meal... it adds up faster than we think! But don’t let that dampen your spirits. It’s all about planning and balance. Enjoy your Sunday indulgences, but keep the rest of your week in check and maybe throw in some extra steps or a workout. It’s the long-term habits that pave the way to success, not one extravagant meal.
