Am I an idiot or what? Inviting the founder + cohort leader from School of SDR (my only competitor) seems like a huge mistake. Or is it? Most of you probably don't know that Rahul Wadhwa 🦄 and I have worked together before. When he started School of SDR, I was thrilled! See, value is one thing, but Rahul genuinely cares for SDRs, their success, their struggles, and their future. We have the same goals! Bringing him on was a no brainer, and if 2 schools get more publicity as a result of 30U30 (instead of just mine) then F*** it! When you support your SDRs, the whole team wins. When you - empower,  - train, and  - actually support them, they won’t just be booking meetings— they’ll be ensuring those meetings turn into closed deals. So, if you’re an SDR manager, remember: - Stop thinking of SDRs as "entry-level" positions. - Start investing in their growth. Building a strong team starts with this.

"You're a BDR for 2 years, and then you become an AE." That is the typical career path for most. I mean... Who is crazy enough to want to be a BDR forever? Unfortunately for me, I am THAT crazy. Being an SDR means dealing with a lot of rejection, and staying motivated can be a real challenge. But it's all part of the hustle, right? Here are some things that keep me going: Celebrate the Wins: Even the small ones, Closed a deal? Booked a meeting? Celebrate it, better if you share with your team! Keep It Positive: Focus on what you’re learning and the progress you’re making. Every step forward counts. Learn from the No’s: Each rejection is a chance to improve. Figure out what you can do differently next time. Set Small Goals: Breaking big goals into smaller steps makes everything feel more achievable. Lean on Your Crew: Chat with colleagues, mentors, or friends. Having a support system makes a huge difference. How do you stay motivated when things get tough?

The worst thing a new SDR can do is compare themselves to someone 12+ months in the game. Instead: - Focus on ramping up. - Then get consistent. - Then be the best. Diary of an SDR First-day jitters. Always nervous starting something new. Didn't have anything to worry about. Awesome people. Onboarding. My brain is fried, it's always pretty standard stuff, just familiarizing myself with policies, best practices, reporting and tools. Meeting the team. Everyone's been really cool, Gif game in the chats is on fire. Special shout-out to Eoghan for helping me. End-of-day reflection: Exhausted but exhilarated. So much to learn, but I'm super stoked to have found a great place to work. Punch! has created an amazing culture. What was your first day as an SDR like?

March recap at Review Wave : Another successful month as an SDR with my hunger of knowledge and experience only expanding. As I continue to learn and grow in sales, I noticed I have become more comfortable with asking the right questions and speaking with authority. However, there is much more room to grow. Although some personal goals fell short, I am so proud of my coworkers/teammates for making this month AWESOME. Breaking records and closing deals is the headline of this March with a shoutout to our outstanding AE’s Keenan Assaraf and Austin Daugherty closing about 140+ deals together, AND can’t forget Emily Douglas for hitting 29 closes as an SDR.
