We know it’s Blue Monday but we want to change the narrative and make it Orange Monday, a day to be kind to yourself, reach out for any help you may need and celebrate everything you’ve achieved. We understand that sometimes we all need someone to talk to, that’s why we, as part of the Wolseley Group, support Andy’s Man club. #ANDYSMANCLUB are a suicide prevention charity that offer free-to-attend support groups across the UK in person and online, working to end the stigma surrounding men’s mental health and help men through the power of conversation. If Andy’s Man Club isn’t for you, then the Samaritan’s are also available to listen, talk to and won’t judge or tell you what to do. It’s always free to contact them and there’s someone available to help day or night. Whatever support you need today, or any day, know it’s available 24/7. There’s no shame asking for help, no matter who you are - we all need help sometimes #itsoktotalk #mentalhealthmatters Simon Dennis Jon Fisher Chris Best Tom White Jason Moore Kevin Greener

In honour of World Suicide Prevention Day, let us all raise awareness about suicide prevention and remind everyone that help is always available, regardless of age or gender. 🧠 Mental health matters: Talking about our feelings can save lives. Don't be afraid to reach out or listen when someone needs to talk. 🤝 You are not alone: If you're struggling, there are people who care and want to help. Speak up, ask for help, and don't carry the burden alone. How to help others: ◾ Listen without judgment. ◾Encourage them to seek professional help. ◾Check in on your friends, even if they seem "fine." ◾Share resources like hotlines, websites, or local support groups. You don’t need to be a professional to make a difference. Showing kindness, being there for someone, and offering support can change lives. ❤️ Many charities can offer help, like Samaritans who have put together a leaflet. https://lnkd.in/exKAkhei Let us all break the stigma around mental health and ensure that everyone knows they are valued, supported, and not alone. #WorldSuicidePreventionDay #MentalHealthMatters #WSPD #YouAreNotAlone #mentalhealth

Anyone who knows me well knows I'm passionate about mental health, and that I've been a long time supporter of Movember and their initiatives to support men's mental health and suicide prevention. How can you help this Movember: 1. Check in with your brothers, sons, husbands, friends and colleagues. Men often won't reach out when they're in distress. 2. Educate yourself on the signs of distress and how you can help someone who may be considering suicide. https://lnkd.in/d3w7HhNa 3. Check in with yourself! Are you able to handle stress in a healthy way? Do you have a strong network of family, friends or colleagues you feel comfortable talking to? Do you have unresolved trauma you need to address? Don't be afraid to ask for support. https://lnkd.in/d-TmtYyM 4. Donate to Movember and help them continue to address this important topic! https://lnkd.in/dnJ5ADRf #movember #menshealth #suicideprevention #TeamHylant

September is National Suicide Prevention Month, and it’s a critical time to recognize that many first responders suffer in silence. Did you know that first responders are more likely to die by their own hand than in the line of duty? What can you do to help? - Be there to listen and offer encouragement when someone is struggling. - Get involved in community awareness activities to help break the stigma. - Make a difference by donating to causes that support mental health and suicide prevention for those who serve us. Every action, no matter how great or small, can have a lasting impact. By listening, showing support, and participating in events that raise awareness, we can help first responders feel valued and less alone in their battles. Your support could be the lifeline someone needs to keep going. Let’s stand together and show our first responders that their mental health matters, and that no one has to face their struggles in silence. #survivefirst #firstresponders #mentalhealthawareness #yourlifematters #weseeyou

Today is World Suicide Prevention Day – a vital reminder of the importance of breaking the silence surrounding mental health and suicide. In 2021, I found myself in a place so dark I struggled to come back, and without the support of my husband, close friends, and therapy, I don’t know where I’d be today. My journey through those dark times wasn’t easy, but it taught me that talking about mental health isn’t a weakness—it’s a lifeline. Today, I want to highlight just how important it is to reach out for support, whether it’s from a friend, a loved one, or one of the incredible charities dedicated to mental health, such as Mind or Samaritans. These organizations and many others provide invaluable resources to those in crisis and those supporting someone who may be struggling. World Suicide Prevention Day is a reminder that no one has to face their challenges alone. Opening up, asking for help, or simply talking about what you’re going through can make all the difference. Through sharing our experiences, we can reduce stigma, raise awareness, and ensure more people can access the help they need. To anyone out there who is struggling: you are not alone. There is help, and there is hope. #WorldSuicidePreventionDay #BreakTheStigma #MentalHealthSupport #YouAreNotAlone

This month is National Suicide Prevention Month. I was heartbroken to learn that we lost another law enforcement officer to suicide in Florida the other day. This makes four in our state in just in the last two months. As the spouse of a retired LEO who had a failed attempt at suicide 11 years ago, I have seen, firsthand, the tremendous suffering one experiences as they fight to manage their pain. It’s a pain we cannot understand, but we can be there to ensure those who are suffering know they are not alone. This month, ask yourself what you can do to make a difference in the lives of first responders facing mental health struggles. Whether it’s lending a listening ear, offering support, participating in community awareness events, or making a donation to the cause, every action counts in preventing suicide and saving lives. Be the light in someone’s life who needs you. Together, we make a difference. Together, we save lives. #survivefirst #firstresponders #mentalhealthawareness #yourlifematters #weseeyou

Suicidal thoughts, much like mental health conditions, can affect anyone regardless of age, gender or background. September marks Suicide Prevention Month, a time to raise awareness of this important issue in our industry. We use this month to shift public perception, spread hope and share vital information to people affected by suicide. Our goal is to ensure that individuals, friends and families have access to the resources they need to discuss suicide prevention and to seek help. Construction work is inherently demanding, often involving long hours, physical strain, and high-pressure environments. These factors, combined with the unique stresses of our field, can sometimes contribute to mental health challenges. We must recognise and address these issues pro-actively to ensure the well-being of everyone in our industry. As supporters of the Lighthouse Charity, we see and applaud all of the support they provide in our industry. If you are struggling and would like more details on where you can find help, then please click on the following link: https://lnkd.in/gdSn_mi #Talkmentalhealth #WorldSuicidePrevention #MentalHealthAwareness Lindner Group @thelighthouseclub
