🚧 Intrusive works at South East London - Foreshore and Riverwall Investigation. 🌊 As part of our ongoing project in South East London, we have been conducting intrusive works (boreholes) near the river/river wall. Due to the proximity of the river, there are stringent environmental regulations and H&S standards to meet for compliance with permits for the Environment Agency and Port of London Authority. Ontario’s Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP) Proposes Updates for Brownfield Redevelopment The MECP has proposed amendments to Ontario Regulation 153/04: Records of Site Condition (RSC) to reduce barriers to redeveloping brownfields and commercial buildings and enhance residential uses. This proposal aims to amend O. Reg. 153/04 by prohibiting the submission of an RSC in specified circumstances when the RSC is not necessary to assess contamination and supports brownfields development, and to expand the exemption from RSC filing requirements for changes to the use of commercial and community use buildings to mixed use (residential for other sensitive uses).
