Found an interesting article on keeping reps motivated - Particularly relevant given the time of year. It suggests 3 areas managers can focus on to motivate their team: revitalization, repair, and refocus. I think more than anything, in hard times, managers need to pause and take stock of the situation before taking action. Then you can start asking questions, such as the following: To revitalize: > What really matters to your reps? > How do they feel they help the team? > What do they appreciate about their team-mates? To repair: > Which recent struggles affected them the most? > Why did the struggle happen? To refocus: > What can we do better at? > What unhelpful things can we let go of as a team?
