Now that Triton Submarines LLC has wrapped up at the SeaTrade show, I can finally share my favorite production to date - the launch video for Triton Submarines' groundbreaking new AVA submersible. This project was close to my heart, as I was given full creative liberty to craft something that was worthy of this innovative and groundbreaking submersible. A tall order indeed. I wanted to create something that wasn't just a product video but a cinematic journey. Quick tip on how to make your drone footage look less amateur. Don’t fly unnecessarily high. When you’re up in the air it’s really tempting to fly as high as (you’re allowed). The problem with this is you end up having no depth to the image. To create depth you need something in the foreground for perspective. Flying lower (within reason) gives you foreground and background separation and will 10x your drone shots.
