Very interesting read. Still see some parallels from 1967 to today.

Last year, only 37% of New England Country Club’s golfers were finishing on pace. Tagmarshal’s pace of play management system helped them get that number to 84% within 3 months. New England CC partnered with Tagmarshal to: - Improve course flow for their members and players - Reduce their average round time - Gather data to aid better decision-making. That 47% improvement in pace meant that 827 rounds were positively impacted in one month alone, leading to an enhanced player experience for hundreds of golfers. Happy golfers = repeat play, positive referrals and increased spend at on-course facilities. Chip Hierlihy, PGA, the Fieldstone Golf Club GM, recently said, “If you’re not part of what’s current in technology today to optimize your business, then you’re really missing the boat.” There’s a reason more than 500 courses around the world, including 2024 Major hosts Pinehurst and Valhalla, trust Tagmarshal to help them with their pace of play and on-course operations.

San Diego, California – With the growth of golf slowing after the COVID boom, a looming recession, and an uncertain political environment due to the upcoming election, Sunday Golf, the San Diego based golf bag company and the hottest golf bag brand to emerge in recent years, has officially announced its decision to file for the BANKRUPTCY trademark as part of its new marketing campaign to bring awareness to how overpriced some golf bags are today. Golf is expensive, golf bags don't have to be. "Golf bags should not cost the same as the GDP of a small country. If new and old golfers alike cannot afford a golf bag to play with, how are we, as an industry, expected to grow the game?" said Ronan Galvin, CEO of Sunday Golf. "Prices were driven up during COVID due to shipping costs and other factors but that was years ago. A lot of brands have decided not to pass those savings back to the consumer. After careful consideration and exploration of all possible avenues, we came to the conclusion that filing for the BANKRUPTCY trademark is the most responsible action we can take for the golf community to help them avoid BANKRUPTCY by not overpaying for golf bags. We’re confident this legal filing will educate golfers everywhere that Sunday Golf is the #1 place to buy great golf bags at a great price." "We are deeply grateful for our loyal customers, dedicated employees, and supportive partners who have been with us throughout our journey. We understand the impact that this announcement will have and are committed to ensuring transparency and support for all golf bag consumers as we bring more awareness to overpriced golf bags." "Our goal is to put the power back in the consumers hands. And to let them know that they do not need to mortgage their house for a golf bag. They just need to shop at Sunday Golf." Added Galvin. Further details regarding the bankruptcy trademark filing and the future growth plans of Sunday Golf will be shared as they become available. We appreciate the support of the golfing community as we carry out this campaign.
