Evolving Parcel Pricing for Shippers and Carriers

Target's Car Seat Trade-in program is one of my favorite sustainability programs out there. It takes some pretty bulky, non-biodegradable material out of landfills and gives customers a 20% off coupon in return! -Gets customers into their stores -Offers something in return to motivate people, doesn't just rely on their goodwill -Gets the car seats to recyclers that can break them down and recycle the various materials. All in a program that seems to do some real good and they put some money on the line (20% off coupons) to make it work. It does make me think about how large the margins must be on baby gear for them to so freely hand out 20% off coupons. Just like the old Bed, Bath and Beyond model... If you have a car seat, next week is the time to bring it to Target to get your coupon (or give it to a friend who is just entering the baby gear cycle)! https://lnkd.in/dKS8ceu7

Great to see a win-win for all! A rarity that we need to replicate more often
