Today I was clicking around in our new maritime domain monitor and clicked on a random vessel, wondering, “What information is actually present for the selected ship from our extended Vessel Information?” 🛳️
FWN Space ended up being the selected one. FWN Space is a ‘General Cargo Ship’ with IMO 9735232 and MMSI 244150516, currently sailing under the flag of the Netherlands. It measures 123 meters in length with a beam of 18 meters and is built in steel.
It has a gross tonnage of 6749, a net tonnage of 3408, and a deadweight of 10546 tons. The vessel was built in the Netherlands in 2018 by SCHEEPSWERF FERUS SMIT B.V. and is powered by a Diesel engine providing 2999 kW propulsion power made by CATERPILLAR MOTOREN GmbH & Co. KG.
Its registered owner is FWN Space B.V., the ISM Manager is Symphony Shipping with a country of domicile of the Netherlands, and the ship manager is FORESTWAVE NAVIGATION BV. The classification society for FWN Space is Bureau Veritas (BV).
The last inspections under Paris MoU were handled in a detailed inspection in Genoa, Italy, under a month ago, with a single deficiency. In February, it was detailed inspected in Newcastle, Great Britain, with 9 deficiencies, and it was not detained. In 2022, it was initially inspected in Izmit, Turkey, under the Mediterranean MoU Port State Control. The vessel is not sanctioned, and its flag performance is White ⚪.
In June, the vessel's last port calls were in Port of Rushbrooke, Fenit Harbour, and again Port of Rushbrooke in Ireland, and it is currently moored. The enhanced vessel info also contains information about ATA, ATD, and the predicted next port, but I will stop my small story about a random vessel here.
Some say the maritime world is multinational... 🌍 I think I agree.
Want to talk with our experts about gaining access to enhanced vessel information? I think you should have a chat with my colleagues Michael Hagbarth Christiansen or Joel Box...
