Please donate to this amazing, local non-profit before 2024 ends! Your donation helps far more students experiencing developmental disabilities in post secondary to reach their dreams! With high tuition costs, access to higher education goals impact populations of folks who experience poverty most acutely. This includes #Indigenous #Metis and #FirstGeneration #PostSecondaryStudents #Immigrants #Refugees and more. Through the Integrated Post Secondary Society's invaluable programs, students' access to these dreams come to fruition. In addition, when we bring up the topic of inclusion, it involves seeing the barriers students face, outside of their student identity as pieces to be considered when we talk about support. The costs of being a post-secondary student in this country AND province are enormous. Food and housing insecurity are other considerations that need to be addressed and to provide enhanced access to. How are we tangibly supporting all aspects of student life, in order for students to not only survive, but also to thrive? Both surviving and thriving as a post secondary student are equally important. Donate today! #Inclusion #Access #TuitionAccessIsInclusion #IPSESA #PostSecondary #SurvivingAndThriving
IPSESA's work is truly transformational: together, we build more inclusive communities and support those with developmental disabilities in securing their rights to education and employment. Would you also consider donating to IPSESA? #inclusiveeducation #inclusiveemployment #transformlives Click on the link to donate! https://lnkd.in/gKUbcxG9

In my limited experience traveling to various Muslim communities over the past 4+ years on behalf of different non-profits, I’ve observed an important perspective for masaajids and their leadership to consider: Masaajids and community centers should prioritize their spiritual mission OVER financial concerns. When the focus shifts too heavily to profit, it can inadvertently push away barakah. In my visits, I found that masaajids WELCOMING outside organizations for fundraising and collaboration—whether for a school, books, Palestine, Lebanon, Sudan, or other causes—experience GREATER BARAKAH AND FINANCIAL SUPPORT than those that do not. When you provide your members with opportunities to earn Jannah through these collaborations, they often express appreciation and are more likely to support the masjid in return. This is especially true compared to those that require exorbitant amounts of sponsorship for organizations to fundraise or appeal to your masjid. Some community leaders may hesitate due to financial concerns, stating, "We are struggling" or "We can’t host your organization because we are fundraising for our own needs." However, limiting opportunities for collaboration can signal a lack of inclusivity and hinder the flow of blessings. It's crucial to remember that most non-profits approaching your masjid are driven by a desire to serve Allah and help others earn Jannah. The focus should be on how these partnerships can enhance the spiritual growth and connection of your community members, rather than solely on financial implications. I understand that planning and organizing amid community pressures can be challenging, but let’s make an intention to open doors rather than close them. May Allah bless you all always. Ameen. - Humayun Khan Director of Texas & Director of Masjid Engagement for the Human Development Fund

Now in its 20th year, UK Giving has for the first time taken more than 13,000 responses collected from the public during 2023 and used a statistical model to project its results to all 650 UK parliamentary constituencies, revealing the country’s donor hubs for the first time. Our interactive map lets you explore these results, showing you how many people in your area donated in 2023, how much your local area donated as a whole, and how generous people in your area are – compared to local incomes. https://lnkd.in/eWZfeUfy

🎭 An Unforgettable Night of Art and Laughter 🎶 Earlier this year, I attended an Athena Project fundraising event that still makes me smile. A phenomenal female DJ set the perfect vibe, followed by two high school comedians who had us laughing until our sides hurt. It was pure magic—a celebration of creativity, community, and the transformative power of the arts. But events like this don’t just happen. They’re made possible by the belief that art can change lives—and by people like you who want to be part of something bigger. 🌟 Athena Project: Changing the World Through the Arts Athena Project empowers women and underrepresented genders through the arts, creating paid opportunities while amplifying their voices. Every program uplifts artists and connects their works to audiences eager for change and creativity: 📚 Read & Rant: Bringing new playwrights’ voices to life. 🎨 Curating Art for Impact: Elevating community missions with experiential art. 🗣 Artful Reflections: Creating emotional connections between artists and audiences. ✨ Girls Create: Empowering middle school girls and nonbinary youth to lead through art. 🌟 Why Your Support Matters Athena Project is shaping a more inclusive, equitable future for the arts, one artist at a time. Programs like Girls Create teach young voices the courage to use their skills—creating ripples of impact that extend far beyond the stage. 💡 Every dollar donated ensures these programs thrive. Thanks to the Colorado Gives Foundation, donations made by December 10 go even further. Let’s make sure Girls Create continues inspiring and equipping young artists for years to come. 🔗 Check out the original post below to learn more, and if you feel moved to give, the link is in the comments. 💜 #GivingTuesday #SupportTheArts #WomenInTheArts #AthenaProject #KeepArtsAlive #ColoradoGivesDay #Underrepresented #GenderEquality

Please consider supporting this initiative and help unleash the inner voices of those who are non-speaking or minimally speaking. This population has been grossly under estimated and under served. They are BRILLIANT and deserve to be heard! Your donation = -Scholarships for local Nonspeaking & Minimally Speaking individuals to access alternative communication (i.e., spelling to communicate/letterboards) -Community building for Nonspeaking individuals and their families in NE Ohio -Public education on global Apraxia & helping to shift the inaccurate assumption that non-speaking means non-thinking https://lnkd.in/eztv7nZ5

🌟 Embracing the Jewish Tradition of Ma'aser: Giving Back with Purpose 🌟 In Jewish tradition, the concept of Ma'aser is a powerful reminder of our duty to support those in need. Ma'aser, meaning "tithe," involves giving 10% of one's earnings to charity. 🔑 Why Ma'aser Matters: 1. Community Support: Strengthens the social fabric by ensuring that everyone has the resources they need. 2. Personal Fulfillment: Provides a sense of purpose and fulfillment, knowing your contributions are making a real difference. 3. Spiritual Connection: Deepens one’s spiritual practice by embodying the values of compassion and generosity. By embracing Ma'aser, we not only help others but also enrich our own lives and strengthen our communities. Let’s continue to give back and make a positive impact together! 💙
