Your field technicians ARE speaking with your clients so they must have great and professional communication and customer service skills. They will be speaking with your customers, they will be communicating with your management and your office coordinators. Want to hear another benefit of working with a recruiter? This week, I was helping a client fill a couple of openings for a field #HVAC technician. In one of the candidate calls, I literally got yelled at for 5 minutes and told how to do my job 🤣 . He had a lot of missing information on his resume and I asked a couple of very basic questions related to the job. He got angry during the call. In contrast, another candidate I spoke to was simply amazing. He spoke about his work experience, answered all the questions in a very friendly manner, was professional and respectful during the entire phone call. When submitting a candidate's resume to hiring managers, I do include "soft skills" observations such as " He has great and professional communication skills as well as follow-up skills". I understand that for most of my clients, their technicians are in a client-facing position, so communication/ customer service skills are equally as important as hard skills. #constructionjobs #hvacjobs #recruiting
