It's like magic-Graduate Assistantships Matter! During my studies at the University of Louisville, I served as the Graduate Assistant for Resident Learning (Formerly Graduate Assistant for Residence Education). At the time of my appointment, I had secondhand knowledge of university housing operations that extended to limited roles as the housing manager for my chapter and short-term as a student leader for a housing-specific student organization. I was an outsider which played to my benefit. This experience provided me with the opportunity to learn on the job! My previous experiences provided me with the foundational knowledge to manage a program and stakeholder relationships which came in handy for this role. I asked questions to understand the vision, listened, and communicated my findings. Like magic, new and bold ideas came from thinking outside of the box. The advancement that was made to the program reimagined the traditional models (Residence Education Model) to benefit its diverse stakeholders. Tools and management systems were created from strategic planning and creativity with the available resources. Additionally, due to staffing changes, I took on more responsibility to sustain my subunit during a transitional period for my department. I was transformed in this role. During this time, I successfully graduated with my Master of Public Administration degree while balancing many other responsibilities. My confidence in myself and my abilities grew. Leadership is not always asked for but like magic when it's time to serve new opportunities may appear. Photo Taken: October 2021

Co-op programs are truly invaluable for college students, and this article captures why they were my favorite part of my degree. When deciding between Drexel University and Northeastern, I was drawn to both schools for their outstanding co-op opportunities. Ultimately, I chose Drexel, and those experiences shaped my career path in profound ways. From Lancaster University to the Real World: My Journey Begins 🎓➡️🚀 It feels like just yesterday I was walking across the beautiful campus at Lancaster University, balancing deadlines, lectures, and late-night study sessions. Now, as a recent graduate, I find myself in a new chapter—one that’s exciting, challenging, and filled with endless possibilities. Here’s what this transition has taught me so far: ✅ The Shift from Structure to Self-Driven: University life was filled with structure—assignments, exams, and timetables that kept me on track. Now, as I step into the job market, I’m learning to create my own structure. It’s about setting goals, staying motivated, and pushing myself to keep moving forward, even when the path isn’t as clear. ✅ Learning Never Stops: While my time at Lancaster was full of learning, I’m realising that the real education has only just begun. The job hunt is teaching me new skills every day—from how to craft the perfect resume to mastering the art of networking. It’s a continuous journey of growth, and I’m embracing every opportunity to learn something new. ✅ Embracing the Unknown: Leaving the familiar world of university behind and stepping into the unknown can be daunting. But it’s also incredibly exciting. I’m learning to embrace uncertainty and see it as a chance to explore new opportunities, meet new people, and discover where I truly belong. As I continue this journey, I’m grateful for the foundation that Lancaster University gave me and excited for what lies ahead. The transition from student to graduate is a big one, but I’m ready for the challenges and opportunities it brings. To all my fellow grads out there, what’s been the biggest lesson you’ve learned in your transition? #GraduateLife #JobHunting #LancasterUniversity #CareerJourney #Resilience #LearningAndGrowth #LinkedInCommunity

Advertising and Public Relations Student at University of San Francisco currently seeking internship opportunities
Hey LinkedIn, long time no see! 👋 Today marks a big milestone - my last day as a junior at the University of San Francisco! While there's one year left to graduation, the past three have been a whirlwind of learning and personal growth. One pivotal decision was switching my major from marketing to advertising during the end of my freshman year While both fields are similar, the shift meant some of my business credits wouldn't transfer directly to the Advertising major. It was challenging, but ultimately the best choice I've made at USF. Sure, there were initial moments of self-doubt (classic imposter syndrome!), especially comparing myself to my incredibly talented peers. However, countless projects, assignments, and teamwork revealed a valuable lesson: every idea is a GOOD IDEA. Collaboration fostered a safe space to share thoughts and opinions, and the diverse roles within advertising helped me discover my niche. Over time, my love for advertising blossomed. A major reason? The incredible people I've met. I've formed strong bonds with classmates, both in and out of the classroom. A huge shoutout to my supportive professors for pushing me to grow and always believing in my potential. I feel genuinely fortunate to be part of such a fantastic and talented department. Here's to the future of advertising! #USF #advertising #personalgrowth #collaboration
