Single-Family Homes vs. Multifamily Properties: Ah, the age-old debate. Single-family homes can be a great starting point, offering simplicity in management and potentially easier financing. But think about this: with multifamily properties, you've got multiple income streams under one roof. Sure, it might mean more tenants and more toilets to fix, but it also means spreading your risk. Plus, you could be living rent-free if you play your cards right. So, are you looking for the ease of single-family or the multiplied rewards of multifamily? Single family is like door to door sales, while multifamily is like social media. They both take work, but with the latter you can get a higher return based on volume and scale than piecemealing a portfolio together. Calvin Lowe had a post yesterday sharing the same thing regarding spreading risk across multiple doors with a MF strategy. Great post, Joe
