Social media is nothing more wasteland of synthetic content. Start first with real in person relationships. The only true value social media provides is the enhancement or pre-existing trusted relationships. Social media is nothing more than a tool. If we haven’t met irl don’t expect a connection.

The algorithm on social media is not the problem when you post your creative content and not many people see the content. Stop blaming the algorithm that you haven't changed the type of content you produce and start switching your content by trying to see why its not working when you haven't change the type of content over the past 2-5 years. Everything is changing rapidly on social media every day, mouth , year.

While some are proposing changing workflows, I have a different proposal. Why? Workflow approvals in big companies require a matrix approach. In start-ups, it's prioritized only if there aren't any urgent business priorities or crises that have to be solved first. Can that change? Yes, if all the variables on the matrix are on a (positive) consensus. Yes, if... ideally there's nothing else that takes away the start-up leaders' attention from approving social media collaterals. But it's the ideal situation and is all beyond the control of people lower on the pecking order. So in reality, no, it can't be changed unless the change comes from the top. Solution? Predicting or creating trends. Either before or after the internet, creating trends has always been after data. Collecting, analyzing, and recognizing a pattern. The way we do this after the internet has changed a lot: the way we collect, crunch them and predict patterns. What came with this is also cherry picking or picking low hanging fruits. In the hope that they'd reap more benefits. In other words, we've become lazy. And less creative. Like it or not, now we have a lot of data that would require many human years to analyze and predict patterns. As a scientist in my previous life I've used computers to do this for life science research. That was exclusive and enigmatic. Nowadays, particularly after generative AI, the tech revolution has changed several fields. But is the PR world tapping its potential enough or correctly? No. While we're arguing about whether we should or shouldn't use GPTs to write content, somewhere someone must be devising a tool with all the ultra modern scientifically precise functionalities. Tools that could predict trends much earlier than humans can do. Tools that could create trends much better than humans are currently doing. True, it would and must all require human supervision. But at least there will be hi-tech PR people who can co-work with AI to correct it's course as it works. A future generation of Public Relations Engineers. They would not only have built tools to do this, but also would be maintaining them in a creative way to set trends even before they surface. They would be using Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing, Cybernetics, and Heuristics to wrap up the workload of months to hours. They'll be able to buy data or subscribe to data as they are added to the databases, use Blockchain to secure what belongs to them, use Blockchain to secure the process they'll use towards predicting and creating trends, and come up with digestible ways to present the predicted trends and their expected RoI. They'll be able to create, run, and analyze virtual campaigns using AR/VR to convince their bosses. Can these happen? When? How long do we have to wait?
