[PCNL/ECIRS - Position 3 - Lateral position (1)] Apart from supine and prone, PCNL has been done in lateral position. Dr Kurt Kerbl reported a PCNL in flank position for a morbidly obese patient in 1994 [1]. Lateral position is also suitable for patients with deformities like kyphosis or lower limb contracture [2].
